BBC History Extra have published an article I wrote for them on their website. It’s a dozen lesser known facts about the Wars of the Roses that appear in my book.
Exciting stuff!!

Great stuff!
Thank you 😀
Nice broad spread of details on areas that don’t usually get much coverage. Especially good to see lesser known battles like Hedgeley Moor and Hexham pop up. Well done Matt.
Thank you very much.
That’s great, Matt! Wonderful article.
Thank you. 😄
This was fascinating – I learned a lot I hadn ‘t known about before – thank you!
Thanks Joanne. I’m glad you liked it.
I too was intrigued by Leslau’s work and despite the difficulties of navigating his site read most of it.
I did some research into John Clements and found an interesting article about him here http://www.tertullian.org/articles/reed_john_clement_and_his_books.htm
I will be trotting off to the library to see if I can find your book any minute now !
Thank you very much. I wrote a previous post about Leslau’s theory, trying to distill what was I his website into a more readable form. I will read through the article you have sent. Matt
I have just found this blog. I have enjoyed reading it. Any articles about the battle of Barnet coming up? I can’t find much written about it. Thankyou

Hi. Thank you very much for reading no fit your kind comment. I covered the Battle of Barnet in some detail in my Wars of the Roses book but I might see if I can find an angle for a blog post. Is there anything in particular that interests you about it? Matt
Hi, I live nearby and often busted the site.
Next year they are going to excavate an alternative site for the battle (worth am park) which should be interesting as they have little archaeology on the official site
That should be visited, not busted! Predictive text!!,
Also it’s called wrotham park, not worth am park, sorry!
No problem. I suffer from predictive text / fat thumbs all the time!
